BANDOLERO is a french latin-funk and disco-rap
band created in 1983 in Paris by CARLOS PEREZ (chant/guitar),
his brother JOSE PEREZ (chant/bass, born JUAN JOSE
GONZALEZ PEREZ) and DJILL (chant) and signed on the TAXI
GIRL's label, Mankin. In 1977, they create the punk band GUILTY
RAZORS with the ex-MUSULMANS FUMANTS, TRISTAN (chant, ex-TRISTAN
NADA). They split in 1978. CARLOS PEREZ goes to solo with
"POCO A POCO" in 1983 and "LAS MANOS
QUIETAS" in 1985. In 1986, JOSE quits them. The
following year, he sings "ELECTRIC RUMBA" under
the pseudo of JOSE LUCAS. In 1988, TRISTAN makes "DE BONNE HUMEUR CE MATIN" in solo and MANOLITA (chant) joins CARLOS and DJILL in the band BANDOLERO. Split of BANDOLERO in 1989. CARLOS dies in 1998. JOSE practices ambient-house-funk under the name of JOAN JO.
