REDBONE is a cajun-funk and latin-soul US
band created in 1968 in Los Angeles, California by PAT
VEGAS (voice/bass, born PATRICK MORALES VASQUEZ on the 17/03/1946
in Coelingey, Californie), his brother LOLLY VEGAS (voice/bass,
born CANDIDO ALBELANDO VASQUEZ on the 02/10/1939 in Los
Angeles), TONY BELLAMY (guitar/voice, born ROBERT ANTHONY
BELLAMY on the 12/09/1941 in Orange City, Californie) and
PETER LAST (drum, born PETER DEPOE in State of Washington).
They choose REDBONE for their indian
origins. Their international greatest hit is "THE
WITCH QUEEN OF NEW ORLEANS" (#2 in the UK, #6 in
Norway, #7 in Ireland, #7 in the Netherlands on the
Nederlandse Top 40, #13 in Germany, #18 in France in the
Top 30 Lesueur and #21 in the USA).
In 1974, PETER is replaced by BUTCH
RILLERA (drums, born on the 08/10/1945).
Split in 1979. LOLLY dies on march 4, 2010
of lung cancer in Reseda, California.
