THE SPECIALS est un groupe anglais de ska, 2 tone et new wave fondé en 1977 à Coventry par TERRY HALL (chant, né le 19/03/1959 à Coventry), JERRY DAMMERS (claviers, né le 22/05/1955 à Ootacamund dans le Sud de l'Inde), LYNVAL GOLDING (guitare/chant, né le 24/07/1951 à Saint Catherine en Jamaïque), NEVILLE STAPLE (chant, né le 11/04/1955 à Manchester en Jamaïque), RODDY RADIATION (guitare, né RODERICK BYERS le 05/05/1955 à Keresley), HORACE PANTER (basse, né STEPHEN PANTER le 30/08/1953 à Croydon) et JOHN BRADBURY (batterie, né en 1953 à Coventry).
