ZAZIE is a french french pop chanteuse born ISABELLE MARIE-ANNE DE TRUCHIS DE VARENNES on the 18/04/1964 in Boulogne-Billancourt (92) from a piano teacher's mother, JACQUELINE CAUSSE and an architect and baron's father, HERVE DE TRUCHIS DE VARENNES. Exceptionaly gifted student, she climbs up directly from CP to CM1. At the age of 17, she studies physiotherapy in Paris, english, and japanese. She plays violin and synths. ZAZIE becomes model.

She sings "BATEAU COULE" with FABRICE GUINAR in 1988. Her 1st LP pro domo "JE, TU, ILS" in 1992 is dedicated to the US clown-psychotherapeut HOWARD BUTEN's book, "Quand j'avais 5 ans, je m'ai tué" about children's perceptive mind.

She's commited to the fight against Aids with MAURANE, ALAIN SOUCHON or FRANCIS CABREL giving concerts for SOL EN SI and plays for LES ENFOIRES in collaboration with Les Restos du Coeur.

Next, she writes for JOHNNY and DAVID HALLYDAY, JANE BIRKIN, ISABELLE BOULAY, PATRICIA KAAS or FLORENT PAGNY. In 2001, she makes a duet with AXEL BAUER on the track "A MA PLACE".

In solo, her greatest hit is "RUE DE LA PAIX" (#11 in France and in Wallonie). She lives with the leader of the band COX, FABIEN COHEN. Together, they had on 24/08/2002 a daughter, LOLA.
